Roulette tips and strategy

So what do we suggest for Roulette to help you on your way! Simple attention, knowing Roulette is more about knowing what aspects of a Roulette game, can obtain a better outcome for you and... Improving on your strategy can go a long way!

Paddy has a few suggestions for starters to get you on your way.

  • Play for fun, not profit: When you play for fun, you are relaxed and are likely to make good judgments, whereas if you are playing under the stress of needing to make a profit, you may find that you make foolish mistakes. No gambling game should be done purely for profit ... unless you are a pro!
  • Make smart bets: The single-number bets have some of the worst odds of all the casino games. As you are selecting a number between 1 and 37 (including zero, and 38 for double zero), you can work out the odds??The smarter bets are the one that pay as close to even money as possible.
  • The intelligent player makes a series of predetermined bets rather than betting "all over the table"; be consistent in your betting system. Slowly build your bankroll for those special long shots!
  • As there are many different versions of Roulette, try out a few and see what suits you best. European Roulette has just one Zero, and we have also added a variation such as Roulette Double Bonus which has double Zero and a Bonus for a free spin.
  • Always know your limits: play within your means and that means sensible betting with the funds you have available.

We wanted to offer a strategy for Roulette that you could review, and so we thought we would ask Paddy some strategic questions, some that our Players have queried before:

Question: Which outcome has a higher probability after eight successive Blacks, Black again or Red?

Paddy says : After eight successive Blacks, a Black is as likely to come up as a Red. The Roulette wheel has no memory and it does not keep record of previous results. This is what many gamblers find hard to believe. This misconception has been around for many years and will probably be around for as many more years. It is known as the gambler's fallacy.

Question: Should I always place an inside bet for a better chance of winning?

Paddy suggests : Inside bets are those placed on the 36 numbers, zero and double zero layout. It's harder to win, getting just one number right, and so outside bets pay even money (those place outside the number layout)

Question : Paddy... Should I be influenced by previous results?

Paddy's advice : What has happened in the past has no influence on what will happen in the future. Remember this fact as part of your Roulette strategy the when you think that you should bet on a certain number, or a colour etc., because that particular bet has not won for a while. It may or may not win, if it feels like a good idea and you're prepared to take the risk then go for it by all means. But whether it wins or loses is down to luck and not down to the fact that it was due to win. In theory, Roulette may be looked at as a game of probability, in practice, as far as the player is concerned, Roulette is a game of luck and the player has a chance to win.

Question : I think I have a better chance of winning if I cover plenty of numbers in the hope that one will be lucky, am I right?

Paddy's words of wisdom: As you scatter your chips on the numbers, remember that only one number can win, and so you have to weigh up your odds, do I wager big by covering the lot and calculate my possible profit should I win, as opposed to wagering on a select few. Covering fewer numbers can increase your profit, and reduce your possible loss.
